Update: Sold! Amid both a divorce and a pandemic, actors Christina Hendricks and Geoffrey Arend have finalized the sale of the elegant pied-à-terre they shared in Manhattan. Listed for $1.25 million, the Columbus Circle–area home sold for just below ask at $1.2 million, according to Variety. The 800-square-foot, 1-bedroom/1-bathroom home is certainly modest by Hollywood standards, but it is gorgeous and has a sophisticated, classically chic vibe — not unlike Hendricks’s celebrated character Joan Holloway on “Mad Men.” Check it out below.

When “Mad Men” actress Christina Hendricks bought this charming 1-bedroom apartment back in 2015, she was still happily married to fellow actor Geoffrey Arend. The couple are now in the process of divorcing, and their home in the elegant Parc Vendome on West 56th Street is on the market for $1.25 million.

Hendricks garnered six consecutive Emmy nominations playing the glorious Joan Holloway on “Mad Men” and currently stars in “Good Girls,” now in its second season on NBC. She married Arend, a prolific actor himself who stars in the CBS political drama “Madam Secretary,” in 2009. Arend is a Manhattan native who graduated from the prestigious LaGuardia High School for the performing arts (yes, the “Fame” school), which is coincidentally not far from this apartment. (Also not far from this apartment? Hendricks’s costar Jon Hamm’s former penthouse!) The pair separated this fall after 10 years of marriage, announcing the split on Instagram.

The couple purchased the gracious 800-square-foot, 1-bedroom/1-bath home in 2015 for $1.195 million. It was listed in October for $1.4 million, then reduced two weeks later to its current $1.25 million asking price.

Overlooking a gorgeously landscaped private courtyard, the apartment features stunning built-ins and an original wood-burning fireplace in the living room. The dark-wood moldings, oak floors and original casement windows continue into the bedroom, which also contains a walk-in closet fit to house a glamorous Hollywood wardrobe.

The kitchen is separated from the living room by a wide, molding-trimmed entrance that frames its classic black-and-white checkerboard floor and ultra-high-end appliances. Also off the living room is a home-office space that can be hidden away behind folding French doors.
