Even Million Dollar Listing New York stars can experience a few hiccups when it comes to selling their own apartments.

Example: Fredrik Eklund. The Swedish kingpin of high-end NYC real estate likes to move at a fast clip, but it took the Douglas Elliman broker more than a year to fetch a sale for his Chelsea condo.

According to the New York Post, the buyer for Eklund’s 2,400-square-foot unit at 144 W. 27th Street is Evelyn Webster, an executive vice president in charge of business operations and strategy for Time Inc.

Eklund bought the unit in 2012 for $1.65 million and listed the place in 2013 for $3.25 million, only to take it off the market until this spring with a new list price of $2.995 million. The wait might have been worth it, though, since the Post reports that Webster is paying $3.12 million.

The Chelsea condo loft features 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a 65-foot wide Southern exposure, 11-foot high exposed-beam ceilings, 11 windows spanning three exposures, and three walk-in closets.

Eklund renovated the place in 2013 to include 8-inch wide oak floors, central AC, radiators, electrical, windows, motorized shades, marble kitchen countertops, 6-burner Bertazzoni stove with commercial-quality outdoor ventilation system, Sub-Zero appliances, and LG washer/dryer system. Also renovated were the powder room and the second marble bathroom, which has an extra-deep Tuma soaking tub.

It’s not clear exactly where Eklund and his husband are heading next, but, given the broker’s access to all manner of development projects in the city, it won’t be difficult for the high-kicking king of real estate camp to land in a dandy new address.
