It’s our last New York City open house round up for the month of April, and we’re pulling out all the stops. High ceilings and distinctive windows are the name of the game this weekend. From Sutton Place in Manhattan to Carroll Gardens in Brooklyn, we meticulously picked five sun-drenched showstoppers across multiple different price points to feature. Here are our favorite NYC open houses for April 29 and 30. But, as always, there’s plenty more where that came from – you can browse all the current NYC open houses here. Don’t forget to save your favorites!
Our first stop on our tour of NYC open houses for April 29 and 30 is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom in Sutton Place. To get a real sense of this residence, all you need to do is look at its two distinctive bedrooms. One is moody with textured charcoal paint, while the other is airy with fresh white walls. This chic white and black color scheme continues through the living room, kitchen, bathrooms and is complemented by gold accents throughout. The undeniable masterpiece of the unit, however, is the gigantic wall of windows that flood light and provide impeccable views.
Another 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom stunner awaits us, this time in Carroll Gardens. Gorgeous concrete slab ceilings set against exposed iron beams and hardwood floors make this home a veritable medley of interesting materials and textures. We love the intentional pops of color in the chef’s kitchen and one bedroom. The rest of the rooms come in a neutral color palette, making it the perfect canvas for your unique style. The building features a communal roof deck but if you don’t feel like sharing, you can enjoy the home’s private Juliet balcony.
A bright 1-bedroom just blocks from Tompkins Square Park? Yes, please! You’ll fall in love as soon as you step foot into the living room, where a rich mahogany mantle draws focus. From there, simply glide on the smooth herringbone wood floors over to the sizable dining room and semi-open kitchen. The bedroom boasts an en-suite and is big enough for a king-size bed and desk. Plus, the building comes with a shared roof-top deck and lots of subletting flexibility.
Located in prime Park Slope, this 1-bedroom cutie has it all. A dedicated foyer space greets you as you enter, opening up to a fully-renovated kitchen. A curved doorway leads into the large living room with an 11-foot tall, beamed ceiling. On the other side of the wall sits the bedroom, which boasts lots of WFH space. Windows line the north-facing walls, providing a prime view of an idyllic street below.
We’ve got heart-eyes for the colossal curved living room windows seen in our last NYC open house for April 29 and 30. Both bathrooms in this 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom Stuyvesant Heights condo feature cool, colorblocked tiling. Add a private balcony and a convenient tax abatement into the mix and you’ve got a perfect starter house!
