Address: 218 Saint John’s Place #4F

Price: $2,050

Size: 1-bedroom

Neighborhood: Park Slope

Best feature: Hello, skylight! This massive feature is a stunner, and the focal point of the entire apartment. But this Park Slope 1-bedroom has a lot more going for it too, starting with its setting. It’s on the top floor of a gorgeous brownstone, on a block lined with more gorgeous brownstones, and only half a block from Grand Army Plaza. It’s very close to the subway and the Park Slope Food Co-op as well. Talk about a prime location!

Inside, exposed brick and angled ceilings give our Rental of the Week even more character. The kitchen is newly renovated, with plenty of cabinet space. The open living space has more than enough room for both a dining area and a sitting area. Plus, the building has laundry and extra storage in the basement!

Why it’s a deal: Park Slope is an incredibly popular neighborhood. The median asking rent here is $3,100, according to StreetEasy’s Data Dashboard. That puts our Rental of the Week at a full $1,000 per month below average for the area!

Biggest drawback: Many people will find the angled ceilings in this Park Slope 1-bedroom charming. But some might find them too low, or even claustrophobic. (Especially for tall people!) They make for small, narrow windows — not much of a problem in the living area, with that huge skylight. But in the bedroom, it’s harder to overlook.
