Rosie O'Donnell Settles on Slick Triplex Penthouse in Turtle Bay

After a quiet period in the NYC real estate market, Rosie O’Donnell has landed a sleek and stunning condo in Turtle Bay.

Courtesy of 6sqft, the news is that O’Donnell is the buyer for the $8 million penthouse unit in a 3,563-square-foot triplex that contains 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a 1,600-square-foot rooftop deck. The condo is Rosie’s first NYC pad since she sold her Greenwich Village penthouse in 2015, which is also around the time she moved from a New Jersey estate — where her kids had attended school — back to her Nyack compound.

Rosie was clearly in the market for a sleek, slick modern space after it was reported she visited a very similar apartment on the Upper West Side back in April. Instead, O’Donnell has settled on this very high-end and supremely decked-out unit, which is highlighted by a black granite wood-burning fireplace and an onyx wet bar in the living room. Rosie may be a poor kid from Long Island, but she has triple-mint taste and a pocketbook to make it happen.

The 33-foot Italian Boffi kitchen sports a giant island, seamless white Corian countertops and top-of-the-line appliances.

The master suite is decked in custom millwork and leads to a spa-like private bathroom with steam room and double vanities, plus a media center where the outspoken comedian, actress, activist and mom can keep track of world events.
