We first met this month’s photographer, Anthony D’Argenzio, founder of the lifestyle and creative firm Zio and Sons, when he listed his East Village apartment for sale. Now splitting his time between the East Village and Hudson, New York, Anthony has a special appreciation for interesting interiors, design, and “anything with historic charm and character.”

ACCOUNT BEGINNINGS
I wanted to showcase my brand. Zio and Sons is a full-service creative company with a focus on home, design, and travel. The account has evolved over the years, but it has always been lifestyle- and design-focused. I used to share more entertaining and food content. Did you know we started the #GatheringsLikeThese hashtag? (Back in 2015?) It feels like a lifetime ago. The tag now has almost 400,000 photos contributed from all around the globe! 

FAVORITE SPOTS TO PHOTOGRAPH IN NYC:
I have a love for old New York. Anything with historic charm and character works for me. 

ANTHONY LOVES NYC BECAUSE:
New York City will always be home for me. There is much to love. I love its energy, diversity, and character. Interesting design and interiors are currently my focus. I’m drawn to texture and the well-curated.

DREAM CITY OUTSIDE OF NYC:
Right now our second home is in upstate New York, in the town of Hudson. It’s just two hours north of NYC. We have a creative rental property called This Old Hudson (@ThisOldHudson). It is available for Airbnb stays, photo shoots and more.
