ACCOUNT BEGINNINGS:
After the success of my female travel community brand, @dametraveler, I wanted a place to share solely my own work (as opposed to sharing my work amongst curated images on Dame Traveler). So I started @nastasiaspassport, where I share the world and the cities I live in through my own eyes and perspective.
FAVORITE SPOTS TO PHOTOGRAPH IN NYC:
Such a difficult question to answer! The facades of SoHo, the streets of Nolita, the views from Dumbo, Central Park — I can’t choose just one!
NASTASIA LOVES NYC BECAUSE:
The feeling of being anonymous in a big city helps put things into perspective. So many stories, so many dreams, so many worlds, so many souls in one place. It’s a constant reminder that my little world isn’t the only world. I love the feeling of acceptance, I’ve felt more myself in New York City than in any place I’ve ever lived. The reasons are endless, and that’s why I created @lovelettertonewyorkcity — to be able to express, on a daily basis, all of the reasons why I love this place so much.
DREAM CITY OUTSIDE OF NEW YORK:
I tried to live in Paris and Rome to make what I thought was a dream come true. But Europe just wasn’t for me: I moved back after six months. It made me appreciate New York City even more, further validating that this is my forever home.
