Once completed, the Dime will be one of the tallest buildings in Williamsburg. (Fogarty Finger Architecture)
A newly launched Williamsburg housing lottery is offering 54 units at the Dime, a new, mixed-use building on South 5th and Havemeyer Streets. Prices range from $2,116 for studios to $3,150 for 3-bedrooms. Compared to market-rate apartments in the neighborhood, the lottery will offer huge savings: The median asking price for a studio in Williamsburg was last recorded at $3,010, and for a 3-bedroom it’s $4,645.
To qualify for one of the 54 units, you must earn 130% of the area median income. Depending on your household size, that’s between $72,549 and $172,120. The chart below offers a breakdown of the units and income requirements.
For an additional fee, residents can access the Dime’s suite of luxury amenities, which include a full-service gym, a basketball court, a roof deck, and even a bar. Once completed, the building will offer 22 floors and 175 residential units.
