West Village
A popular brunch and casual shopping area, the West Village is the primarily residential western portion of Greenwich Village. Once called “Little Bohemia,” the West Village features classic artists lofts as well as new residential towers facing the Hudson River. Small restaurants and shops line the West Village’s angled, “off the grid” streets, impeding navigation but adding to the intimate, residential feel of the neighborhood. On its northern end, jetsetters and models flock to the Meatpacking District’s trendy boutiques and nightclubs, giving the West Village a posh personality. Quaint cafes neighbor large, trendy restaurants, defining the West Village’s residential yet cool atmosphere.
