NFL quarterback Tom Brady really is living the dream. Not only did he just lead his new team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, to the Super Bowl, but he owns some of the most beautiful homes in the country. The roster of current and former homes he has built with his wife, model Gisele Bündchen, is truly impressive. (After all, the pair are the second-highest-paid celebrity couple in world, with Bündchen actually surpassing Brady in earnings. Together, the couple has an astounding net worth of $540 million.) They’ve invested heavily in real estate, collecting some awesome properties around the country, including right here in NYC. Here we take a coast-to-coast tour of Tom Brady homes.
Tom Brady grew up in San Mateo, CA, in a home that Brady’s parents purchased in 1977 — the same year he was born. The home, built in 1962, is located in the Bay Area, about 20 miles south of San Francisco. As a teenager, Brady played football for Junípero Serra High School, which was just a mile from his family’s home.
Surprisingly, his parents still live in the modest home, albeit with a few renovations along the way. Measuring 2,570 square feet, the Brady family home has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and is about a tenth of the size of the mansions he’d go on to purchase. But hey, we all have to start somewhere.

In 2004, Brady purchased a 3-bedroom condo at The Burrage House at 314 Commonwealth Avenue for $4.125 million. Located in the Back Bay section of Boston, the Burrage House is “arguably the grandest residence in Boston.” How the grandest residence in Boston stacks up to the grandest residence in New York City, we won’t get it into. Suffice it to say, the 3,412-square-foot penthouse owned by Brady featured 10 rooms, three working fireplaces, parking for two cars and was pretty swanky. Four years later, however, Brady sold the place for $5.285 million after listing it for $5.39 million.
Brady later moved to the 5,311-square-foot penthouse at 310 Beacon Street. There was a lot of back and forth about whether the unit was a triplex or quadruplex, but regardless the place was one of Boston’s most expensive and most expansive apartments. Shortly after getting married in 2009, Brady and Bündchen decided to move on, listing it for $10.9 million. The property did not sell quickly, coming on and off the market several times over the next two years. Finally in 2012, the unit sold for $9.27 million. Despite the discounted price, this Tom Brady home was still one of Boston’s most expensive sales of the year.
After listing their Boston condo in 2009, Brady and Bündchen built a 14,000-square foot mansion in the tony L.A. neighborhood of Brentwood. Despite its mega square-footage and the French Chateau-design inspiration, the home had some humble features including a chicken coop, vegetable garden and orchard. Some amenities were unexpected (a moat?), but the in-home gym, dressing room and pool set-up were just what you’d expect of this power couple. When they decided to sell, none other than Dr. Dre himself bought the home, paying $40 million.
When he played for New England, the property where Brady spent most of his time was in Brookline, MA. This suburb of Boston is about 30 miles away from the team’s home turf: Foxboro’s Gillette Stadium. The couple bought the 5.25-acre property in 2014 and built a 14,317-square-foot mansion, giving the couple’s three kids plenty of room to play. The house is not only kid-friendly, but also green-friendly. The property includes solar panels and a kitchen specially designed for their personal chef, Allen Campbell, who makes all of their plant-based meals.

The same year, Brady and Bündchen also purchased a 3-bedroom condo at One Madison for $11.7 million. Perched on the 48th floor of the super-tall and skinny Flatiron stunner, the 3,310-square foot spread featured a private elevator, 360-degree views of the city and access to the building’s marble-clad indoor pool, steam room and, of course, state-of-the-art fitness center.
Despite the perks, the couple decided to move in 2016, listing the property for $17.25 million. It must have been a tough time in the Brady-Bündchen household for it was in the midst of Brady’s four-week suspension and the condo was not attracting any bites. Following the Pats’ playbook, however, the couple deflated the price to $13.25 million in May 2018. It proved a winning strategy — they sold the property in July 2018 for $13.95 million.
And now the home is back on the market: The couple’s former One Madison condo was listed in July 2020 for an asking price of $13.7M.

Before their condo at One Madison even sold, Brady and Bündchen had already traded up. In August 2016, they purchased a $20 million 5-bedroom, 5,000-square-foot condo at 70 Vestry Street in Tribeca. The unit features magnificent views, a sprawling terrace and some top-of-the-line amenities, but we bet it was the condo’s location on the 12th floor that really sold Brady on the place. For the past 18 years, Brady has rep’d the No. 12 jersey for the Pats.
Along with Bill and Melinda Gates and Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, Brady and Bündchen are members of the ultra-exclusive Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana. The resort boasts access to 18 private ski lifts and 15,200 acres of parkland and some hefty membership fees. It costs $400,000 to join with annual dues of $40,000. Condos on the property start at $4 million.
Is it just coincidence that the end of football season perfectly syncs with the height of ski season? We think not. Regardless of whether he wins or loses the Super Bowl, we bet Brady and Bündchen will head to the slopes afterward for some fresh powder and rest and relaxation.
