Gordon T Roberts

A dedicated New Yorker for 37 years, Gordon Roberts has methodically built a solid career in the luxury industry.

Prior to joining Sotheby’s International Realty as a Global Real Estate Advisor and Associate Broker, he was a Managing Director at another noted Manhattan firm. Among other accomplishments over a 13-year tenure, he was solely responsible for the successful sale of a rare “B”-line apartment at 1060 Fifth Avenue for $21.5 million dollars.

Creative, extensively traveled, and seeped in international culture, Roberts moved to Manhattan after completing postgraduate work in Sculpture at the prestigious St. Martin’s School of Art in London. He joined Tiffany & Company’s executive training program in 1978, and rose through the ranks to become a jewelry designer, merchandise manager, and fine jewelry buyer. Later, after similar management positions at luxury brands such as Bulgari and Asprey, he served as Executive Director for Fine Jewelry and Watches at Chanel, Inc. and is experienced in every major US market.

Throughout his career, Roberts has absorbed and practiced the proven luxury-marketing philosophies of some of the most legendary names in the business, and has succeeded in an arena where superior product, effective communication, discretion, and white-glove customer service are an absolute given. His customers are astute and discerning.

Certified as a New York Residential Specialist, he is well-versed in the East Side Historical District, where he lived for 25 years. Roberts monitors current inventory and trends in both established and emerging neighborhoods. As a former homeowner in East Hampton and Westchester County, and knowledgeable about Fairfield County, his sights, and professional network, extend beyond the usual boundaries. Moreover, he offers the same standard of professionalism and enthusiasm at any price level.
