Michael Hahn

Michael is an accomplished agent whose clients consistently benefit from the strong values and work ethic he honed during seven years in the U.S. Navy and transportation industry. A New Yorker for over 10 years, Michael has a deep knowledge of Manhattan and works comfortably with buyers, sellers, renters and investors throughout the city. Regardless of the client or neighborhood, Michael’s definition of a successful real estate transaction is based on integrity, transparent communication, and exceptional service.

Originally from Upland, California, Michael first moved east to attend the renowned United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York. One of only five federal service academies in the country, USMMA graduates a select pool of some of the world’s most respected transportation and military officers. As a result, Michael received a rigorous education that valued academics, industry training, and personal character in equal measure.

After an intense four-year training that included sailing around the world for two years learning to manage freighter ships, Michael graduated from USMMA as both a licensed merchant mariner and a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy. After graduation, he applied his training in working for an international dry bulk shipping company. After five years trading commodities around the world, Michael progressed to a brokerage role with far eastern ship owners and U.S. grain houses. With discipline and sales experience, seven+ years in the shipping and commodity import and export industries, Michael’s valuable negotiating and analytical skills continue to translate into incomparable service for his current and future real estate clients.

Michael enjoys trying new restaurants and travels internationally whenever possible. A lifelong ice hockey player, he is an avid enthusiast of outdoor activities like skiing, snowboarding and surfing.
