Broker with 25 years’ experience Buyer's Agent, Listing Agent, Relocation, Consulting I emigrated to this country in 1979 with three children, fearing for my children's lives from the revolution that took place in Iran. With the little money I brought with me, I started a small business in downtown Manhattan. Subsequently selling that business after a couple of years, I became involved in Real Estate and began my career on Long Island and Queens. Despite many ups and downs in the marketplace, I managed to guide my buyers, through thick and thin, to secure them a home, or on the part of the sellers, to secure them a qualified buyer. My life is not a fairytale. I survived a difficult time adjusting to my new home while studying for my salesperson license; moved my family from Long Island to Queens; put my three children through college; subsequently paying for three weddings and raised many of my grandchildren while my kids were busy with their careers. Taking a break from Real Estate, I partnered with my children and opened a string of shoe stores. In 2001, after the events of 911, and the economic downturn, I decided to close the stores and follow my passion for real estate again. Despite many " ups and downs". I found myself in a very competitive and aggressive marketplace. But I did not allow those to be a factor. In fact, I looked at it as an incentive.
