The real estate industry has obligations to the communities they work in and I remind buyers and renters of the benefits from a civic minded approach. This is especially true in Brownstone Brooklyn neighborhoods with active Community Boards like Crown Heights. It’s easy to share my affection for these communities as I ensure clients are aware of ongoing work of neighborhood alliance non-profits. This is all in an effort to support local merchants, continue passionate community advocacy and expansion of historic districts. New Yorkers are savvy, but purchasing in this city is still intimidating, especially for first time home buyers. I foster relationships with my diverse client base, promote information transparency, and manage all facets of their buying, selling or renting endeavor. I embrace a low stress approach while purposely avoiding antiquated and cliché real estate methods. My colleagues from recent townhouse and co-op transactions in Gowanus and Park Slope can attest to this. You can talk the talk, but you need to walk the walk. In 2019, I was voted onto the Board of Directors for the Nostrand Avenue Improvement Association. I routinely attend Community Board 8 meetings, Crown Heights North Association events, and write articles for the Nostrand Avenue Improvement Association monthly newsletter. This motivation originates from my 10 year experience as a volunteer firefighter, and first hand participation in post-Hurricane Sandy community re-building efforts. Meet me on Nostrand Avenue to chat about the Yankees, or catch me walking my dachshund up and down Eastern Parkway.
