Kim is a creative by nature. She’s produced, written and performed on multi-platinum records with notable recording artists and network TV shows, and she’s written campaigns for brands like Target and Old Navy. But it was after purchasing a home in Los Angeles when Kim noticed the similarities between Real Estate and entertainment. “I was able to demystify the intricacies of the music business by being painstakingly transparent and authentic in my craft. That same ideology was applied to my love for Real Estate and I never looked back.”
Kim understands more than ever why her approach to Real Estate has drawn her to taste makers and people in transition. “I bought my home during a divorce. The home buying process was a much-needed distraction and the pay off was worth it. The feeling of turning the key into a new chapter with a blank canvas is empowering. And bearing witness to my clients experiencing that feeling is indescribable.”
Kim helps her clients reimagine a space and inspires them to be flexible without compromising. Knowing from personal experience how overwhelming the process can be, the art of pacing yourself is essential. Kim has a knack for negotiating and understands the climate of the market changes constantly. Her clients are always informed and can manage their expectations throughout the process.
Kim has also been an asset to sellers and landlords, who rely on her as a second set of eyes. “Selling or renting a home that someone put their blood, sweat and tears into isn’t easy. My role is make sure everyone involved has the capacity to see the deal from all angles. We all have to budge a little to win.”
Kim is a new homeowner in Newark with her son Cassius and is a proud parent at Little Red in the West Village. “It’s not just about where you buy, but how you can thrive and be of service in that community.” When asked how Real Estate measures up to the entertainment business, Kim maintains, “Real estate is a creative process as well; except your encore is a set a keys.”
