David Thomas

David’s impressive two-plus decades in the business world is complemented by his extensive background as a real estate owner and investor. He has owned several condominiums, including purchasing from sponsors, completed a townhouse renovation, as well as developed raw land in the Hudson Valley where he built a single-family home. What’s more, David has been a landlord and an Airbnb Superhost, affording him a deep understanding of real estate and the hospitality skills required to make people’s experiences rewarding. When representing his clients, he is a great listener and communicator, with sharp negotiation skills and attention to detail that set him apart.

David focuses on properties and neighborhoods throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan. He has lived in New York City for over 15 years, in Gramercy, the Financial District, Hells Kitchen, East Village, Williamsburg and Downtown Brooklyn.

David graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a degree in Economics. He went on to complete his MBA at Columbia University in NY with a focus on Finance and Real Estate. Prior to joining Douglas Elliman, David spent 20 years on Wall Street working at investment banks and hedge funds. Personally he is an avid tennis player, and member of the Knickerbocker Field Club in Flatbush, Brooklyn.
