This spacious, sunny one bedroom apartment in the East Village has classic tenement building charm. There are seven windows on three sides, exposed brick, hard wood floors, high ceilings, and a huge walk-in closet. It’s up four flights of stairs on the top (fifth) floor.

The apartment is in a coop consisting of six contiguous buildings. They are well-kept and clean; we have a terrific superintendent on site. There’s a Trader Joes on the next block and it’s near Tompkins Square Park. The new L station at Avenue A is a block & a half away. There is bicycle storage in the basement and a garden behind the building. It’s conveniently located.

I own the unit and am looking for a considerate, conscientious tenant(s). The apartment is unfurnished. I may move back into the unit in a year so I can’t guarantee that renewing the lease in September, 2021 will be an option. I can send you a link to a video of the apartment. My current tenant will show the apartment as I am temporarily out of town; we will show it in a safe manner (masks, maintaining social distance).

The coop application process includes a credit check, reference check, employment verification (freelance and gig work is employment), and interview with the coop’s sublet committee done via Zoom.
