It’s amazing how these fluff articles are always so positive and bubbling over with enthusiasm regardless what the actual numbers say. This is somewhat less inspiring although it was the week before Christmas and only for homes over $4 million:

“The typical home was on the market for more than three years and had a discount of 7 percent. “

Don’t try to sell your home during the Christmas holidays!
