Taking down a temporary wall?

I am thinking about renting a two bedroom which is in fact, a one bedroom with a temporary wall in place. Overall, I prefer the apartment as a one bedroom and want the wall to come down. The broker mentioned the company who installed the wall would come back and remove it. Is there a fee for this? How much does it usually run? Does the landlord usually cover this removal? Thanks for any feedback.

I think it depends on the type of temporary wall. I had one that was not so solid, like you could put you hand through it you gave it a good hit. That was rented by the previous owner and all we had to do was call the company and they came by and took it down in a couple of hours and left.

I am not sure if that helped, but that was all I had.

there's no set rule on this, it's all about negotiation, so talk to the broker. Factors to consider: size of wall to be removed & amount of work to fix walls after this one is removed.

Find out from the broker what company put the wall up & call THEM.

call wall to wall yes charge, as a landlord I WOULD NOT PAY

Be careful! Consult an architect first! Tearing down any wall even a temporary one might damage the infrastructure with the result of the whole building collapse.
