Owned by a pair of Gucci sisters, Penthouse 4/5 at 641 Fifth Avenue has taken a $10 million price cut down to $35 million.
Listed a year ago, the 9,450-square-foot condominium unit was purchased by Maurizio Gucci of the House of Gucci fame in the 1970s. In fact, it was two units combined into these palatial digs. Maurizio was the grandson of Guccio Gucci, the founder of the famous fashion house, but as the playboy jet-setter, Maurizio was gunned down by a hitman hired by his jealous ex-wife, who spent 16 years in jail. The unit is now owned by Maurizio’s daughters, Alessandra and Allegra, who initially sought $45 million.
