Built in 1915 and designed by noted luxury apartment architect J.E.R. Carpenter, 907 Fifth Avenue is a pre-war building located between 71st and 72nd Street.
The twelve-story, limestone building was among the first large apartment buildings to replace the private mansions that lined Fifth Avenue above 59th Street at the turn of the 20th century. 907 Fifth Avenue was built in the Italian-Renaissance-palazzo-style around a central court. When it opened, there were two twelve-room apartments per floor
