Building: The Fairchild at 55 Vestry Street in Tribeca

The Fairchild has an illustrious history starting in 1885-86 as a 7-story warehouse, designed by Thomas R. Jackson and built by Jams Pyle for a soap manufacturer. This warehouse was one of 5 buildings Pyle built on this block; 4 buildings exist today. In 1910 the warehouse had the American Woolen Company of New York as a tenant. By 1930, the building had collapsed and the ruins were demolished in 1932.

Today, the Faichild is situated in the TriBeCa North Historic District. The current building was developed in 2008 with the following offerings:
