I would appreciate hearing from anyone who might know whether the back side of the building is better on noise. Are there any clubs on the block that might create the need for soundproofing on the back? Thanks!

it's close-ish to the building it faces in the back. you'd probably need to have city windows done. ceilings and floors are good. might be nice to soundproof any walls that are shared with another apartment. be careful to note the huge terraces they built on some floors that block the light in the few available apartments they are above.

I had noticed the terraces. Thanks. The building is bit odd, but I have seen lots in this price range and each has its warts. I just saw an apartment on 19th that looked out on something far worse (looked like a city dump). I was hoping to avoid city windows. I am not a fan of those. I appreciate the input.
