By the time we found Deondra, my parter and I had worked with at least three different agents and had been rejected by landlords from various neighborhoods five times. Our case was not an easy one: my partner is a Russian citizen with all his income and assets abroad. We had just moved to the city from Moscow and had no idea about the New York real estate market.
