Beth Gittleman

Beth is one of the founders of The Catalyst Team at Compass, a 6-person powerhouse team servicing sellers, buyers, developers and owner portfolios. She began her New York City real estate career in 2003 where she has worked as an associate broker, as well as, the Head of Sales and Development for a boutique brokerage in Manhattan where she spent 6 years creating and building the sales and development division from its inception. In addition to real estate, Beth has led a creative life both performing and producing theater, which includes creating a not-for-profit Equity Regional Theater Company, managing a dance company for a Tony Award nominated director/choreographer and developing a theater education program.

Beth, a native New Yorker, is currently a resident of the Upper West Side, where she has lived for 26 years. She is known for her work with sellers, developers, and buyers and operates with a simple philosophy that she has dubbed “Couch Karma.” “Couch Karma” is her belief that no one engaged in a real estate transaction should ever question if they are getting the service they deserve from their broker or brokerage. The business of real estate is the business of people. Fused with an expert level of knowledge in New York City real estate, loyalty, honesty and a fierce dedication to her work, she brings a refreshing approach to the real estate process. 

Beth is a member of REBNY where she served as twice-elected co-chair to the Upper Manhattan REBNY committee. She is also a member of NYRS (New York’s premiere real estate designation) where she served on the Executive Committee as the Director of Education. Beth holds a Certified Negotiation Expert designation, and is a volunteer fundraiser for Trinity Place Shelter.
