This October, StreetEasy will host The Essys, an exclusive event celebrating our agent community. Now in its second year running, The Essys will honor six agents for their outstanding work helping New Yorkers find homes. 

Award Categories

Using a mix of StreetEasy data and personalized submissions, The Essys will honor exceptional New York City agents across six categories: 

  • Community Champion: This award honors an agent who has worked to give back to the local community in their personal and professional life. Nominate your peers now.
  • Industry’s Choice (submissions open soon): This is a peer-nominated award honoring an agent who has shown expertise navigating co-broke deals.  Nominate your peers now.
  • New Yorkers’ Choice: A client-nominated award, New Yorkers’ Choice honors an agent who has gone above and beyond to meet their clients’ needs. Want your clients to nominate you? Share this info with them!
  • All-Star Renter Agent (based on StreetEasy data): This awards an agent who has displayed the qualities of an excellent rental agent.
  • All-Star Buyer Agent (based on StreetEasy data): This awards an agent who has displayed the qualities of an excellent buyside agent. Please note: Agents must claim their deals on StreetEasy to qualify. 
  • All-Star Listing Agent (based on StreetEasy data): This awards an agent who has displayed the qualities of an excellent listing agent.

Criteria for Consideration for The Essys

The criteria for consideration varies based on the award. Closing volume, listing volume and response time to client emails are all potential factors under consideration. Please note, a team of StreetEasy employees will vet all finalists and reserves the right to exclude agents who have violated our Terms of Use. 

Nomination Process

To be considered for an Essy, you should complete your agent profile, claim all past deals on StreetEasy and respond to incoming client queries as quickly as possible  — yes, we can track this! And, of course, watch for submissions going live soon. Once the submission forms are live, we encourage you to nominate both yourself and your peers. You should also encourage current and past clients to nominate you!
