Fashion designer Cynthia Rowley has sold her West Village townhouse for $14 million, $3.5 million less than the original asking price, according to the Wall Street Journal. The 6,000-square-foot townhouse at 16 Morton St. was first listed in April 2018 for $17.5 million. Then, in September 2018, Rowley reduced the price by 9 percent to $15.995 million. There are no details yet about the buyer’s identity, except that they plan to use the space to house a luxury car collection.

Rowley paid $10.995 million in 2014 for the 25-foot-wide building, and renovated the commercial space sparing little expense, according to listing agents Patricia Goodwin and David Graff of Compass. The building boasts soaring, 20-foot ceilings and a second-floor roof terrace.

Rowley may be parting with this grand space, but she’s not without other places to crash nearby. According to the New York Post, one of Rowley’s boutiques at 394 Bleecker St. is located in a 19-foot-wide townhouse she bought in 2016 for $8.9 million.

Additionally, Rowley and her family live nearby at 30 Perry St., a townhouse she has owned since 2004.
