Jason Kidd was one of the best playmakers to ever hit the NBA hardwoods. He’s not far behind those mad skills when it comes to hopscotching around the NBA and in real estate deals, too.

The former Nets player and coach has turned a tidy profit on his 6-bedroom, 6-bathroom Hamptons estate in Water Mill. According to the New York Post, Kidd sold the sprawling estate at 100 Flying Point Road in Water Mill for $7.1 million, although the asking price was $6.795M.

The 7,800-square-foot home sits on 1.87 acres and blends classic Hamptons architecture with a soothing modern decor. He bought the property for $5 million in 2012, but stuck it on the market in October 2014, not long after he pushed for and won his exit as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets.

After a failed power play, the perennial All-Star and future NBA Hall of Famer abruptly departed Brooklyn in favor of the head coaching job with the Milwaukee Bucks. Hence, Kidd no longer needed his Long Island getaway.
