Image of Karlie Kloss lists West Village Townhouse

Karlie Kloss, the supermodel and entrepreneur, put her West Village starter home on the market for $2.75 million in September. Now, just over two months later, she has found a buyer: The home entered contract on November 26 at asking price. “Starter home,” however, is a relative term for this world-famous runway star. The three-story townhouse at 151 Charles St. comes with 2 bedrooms, a landscaped garden, a terrace and loads of style.

About Karlie Kloss

Kloss originally purchased the property in 2012 for $1.975 million, shortly after her 20th birthday. It was the same year she met Joshua Kushner, a Manhattan-based venture capitalist (and brother to current White House advisor Jared Kushner), and the same year she chopped her hair into a bob, launching the iconic “Karlie” style.

Nine years later, she and Kushner are married, her hair is blond and bobbed (again) and, according to the Wall Street Journal, she has decided to leave Charles Street

A Tour of Karlie Kloss’s West Village Townhouse

Even without Kloss as its owner, this townhouse has effortless elegance. Set behind a wrought-iron gate and small garden, the home has an understated appeal. Inside, a stylish foyer leads into an airy living room with 12-foot ceilings. In the back, there’s an eat-in kitchen up a short set of stairs. The grasscloth wallpaper paired with jute accents make the space sunny and pretty without being pretentious.

Upstairs, there are two bedrooms. The master has an ensuite terrace and a set of custom closets that only a runway model could design. Keeping the sunny vibes going, teal glass tiles cover the master bathroom. Across the hall, the second bedroom has a stunning skylight and a walk-in closet.

Kloss listed the Charles Street townhouse on Sept. 24, just two months after she closed on her other downtown Manhattan pad — a 2-bedroom condo in SoHo. That condo, at 211 Elizabeth St., sold for $6.66 million, a 5.6% discount off the original asking price. It’s unclear where Kloss and Kushner will go next, but based on her past purchases, we guess it’ll be somewhere south of 14th Street.
