Nowhere else does the new New York City show up more clearly than Hudson Yards, which is rising fast along the West Side of Manhattan. The “new heart of Manhattan” took another bold step today, when developer Related Companies announced the start of leasing at One Hudson Yards.

Got a sizable bank account and aspire to live in a billion-dollar mixed-use development? You might find the high-end rental you’re looking for in the ritzy, 33-story building at 530 West 30th Street.

One-bedroom units are now available for $4,890 to $5,065 per month, while a pair of 2-bedroom units are available for $7,945 and $8,695 each. These are the first offerings in this ultra-luxurious building, which developers say is built to specs rivaling those of the city’s super-high-end condominium buildings.

One Hudson contains 178 rental units and will include 3-bedroom units starting at around $12,000 per month. A single 4-bedroom penthouse is also planned.

The building was designed by David Brody Bond architects with custom interiors by Andre Kikoski Architect, and will give tenants what the developers call “best-in-class” amenities. Naturally there’s also access to the Hudson Yards retail, business, dining and entertainment spaces, as well as the High Line and Hudson River Park.

Each apartment features 10-foot ceilings, wide-plank floors and “extra-tall windows in a modern curtain wall façade that reveal sweeping views of Hudson Yards, the Hudson River, West Chelsea and Downtown Manhattan,” according to Related. The building will overlook Heatherwick Studio’s interactive sculpture Vessel (scheduled to be completed in 2018) and the Shed, a multimedia arts center.

The building also features a lower level with a “suite of swimming pools,” including an 82-foot lap pool, plunge pool, salt pool and hot tub, plus a spa with a sauna and steam room — all connected to a state-of-the-art fitness center by Equinox.

Rounding out the building’s amenities are a half-court basketball area; bowling alley; game room and lounge; pet area with grooming and daycare services; onsite parking; and children’s play area with a climbing wall.
