The median asking price for a home on the Lower East Side was $1.5 million this April, according to the StreetEasy Data Dashboard. That puts our Deal of the Week’s price at a little over a third of the median asking price for the neighborhood!
Buyers who make the 20% down payment of $117,800 can expect to see monthly payments of $4,076. This includes a mortgage payment of $3,084 and a maintenance fee of $992. It’s also less than the median asking rent in LES, which was $4,295 in April.
Why You’ll Love It…
This apartment is big on space, both for living and storage. Upon entering the unit, you’ll find a large walk-in closet, a foyer, and an open living area and kitchen. There’s more than enough room for living and dining furniture, although the room is currently staged with a bed and a desk. But with such an expansive dining bar, you might not need a dining table! It serves as the perfect place to entertain, prep food, or work from home.

…And Why You Might Not
The all-white tile floors are bound to be hit or miss depending on who you ask — and they’re in every room of the unit. And unfortunately, the building doesn’t allow dogs. While the location is pretty stellar in terms of access to parks, the closest subway stop (the F, J, M, and Z at Delancey and Essex) is over a half-mile away. Plus, FDR Drive and the Williamsburg Bridge might get a bit noisy.
Still, for this much space and great renovations at this price, it should be on your list of apartments to see on the Lower East Side!
