Buyers who put down a 20% down payment of $159,000 can expect to see monthly payments of $4,745. This includes a mortgage payment of $4,030 and maintenance fees of $715. Monthly payments are also well below the median asking rent in Carroll Gardens, which sat at $5,750 this June.

As mentioned, the second bedroom doesn’t have an exterior-facing window and is on the smaller side. There’s also no central air conditioning in the building, and no elevator. Lastly, the building is right near the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, so you might deal with traffic noise. But for a Carroll Gardens home with this much character and space, it’s hard to beat the price!
