About

114 Pierrepont Street, was built in 1858 in Romanesque Revival style with turret, gable, and rounded bays. This 36 foot wide mansion in Brooklyn Heights was originally the George Cornell House, then became the Alfred C. Barnes House in 1887. It is located in the heart of Brooklyn Heights, between Henry and Clinton Streets. Aside from its dramatic architectural history, its social history includes use as the Brooklyn Women’s Club and as a Christian Science Church. It is now a 7 unit residential co op that was established in 1982.
