According to NYT 126 West 73rd was built in 1915 by Edward West Browning. It is located in a landmark district between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues. It was converted to apartments in 1980. The singular steel frame with glazed terra cota facade was restored by Cutsogeorge, Tooman & Allen and the project nominated for the Landmarks West Restoration Award at completion.
