About
Designed by architect Franklin Baylies and built as a warehouse for Edward E. Edwards in 1899, this handsome loft building at the NE corner of Prince and West Broadway, was originally six stories tall with a seventh floor added in 1908. The building has a width of 38 feet, unusually wide for SoHo, and the benefit of a corner location with 14 bays of windows wrapping its South and West exposures. In 1973, the building became one of the earliest co-ops in the area, with six full floor lofts above a commercial retail base.
