About

“Limestone Jesus”

15 Central Park West “has redefined what first class is in New York, in America and in the world” —Michael Gross

To name a building “Limestone Jesus” reflects our inner religious impulse when we are in the state of awe and reverence. Developed by Zeckendorf brothers who are determined to create “a great New York building” and designed by the most celebrated Robert A.M. Stern Architects, 15 Central Park West announces the arrival of the new era of money, power and architectural significance.

The 202-unit apartment building, clad in limestone, reminiscing the glory of the Empire State Building built in gilded age; It replaced the former Mayflower Hotel which provided a resting place for the weary and the tired. 15 CPW has given a new meaning of time and space to the ultra-swanky and the ultra-wealthy in different race, color and creed.

Inspired by the work of legendary and enigmatic Rosario Candela, 15 CPW is the lovechild of prewar charm and postmodern architecture. The “most expensive address” is composed two towers: a 19-story tower on Central park West and a 35-story tower on Broadway. The building entrance on Central Park West conveys privacy, and yet the burst of English oak panel and fine Italian marble columns in the lobby is anything but discreet. The long and back-to-front corridor with a view of the Central Park reminds you the significance of the location each time you step out of the elevator. Each apartment retains a traditional foyer at the entrance, and yet the romantic roof of 15CPW is a subtle statement of anti-establishment

You will find soaring ceilings, proportioned rooms and an open, bright kitchen and dining room in the place you call home. Apartments on both ends of the building have three exposures: the Hudson River, NYC skyline and the Park. Gone are the days of old and miserable maid’s room found in prewar units, the building provides a center maids room for you to rent or to purchase.

A 15 CPW life is not complete without wine cellar and you can purchase yours customized with solid oak cabinetry here. A private driveway, the around-the-clock staff, a 20-seat cinema, the children’s playroom, a 14,000-square-foot (1,300 m2) fitness center with a 75-foot (22.86 m) skylight swimming pool, the private restaurant, and an in-house chef are here to satisfy your every whim.

If 15 CPW is an epitome of luxury preposition, the price tag attached to its apartment is no longer measured by dollars; it is a symbol, a status, a ticket to an inclusive club. Once you are here, you are part of the family, you are safe at home, a home of richness, exclusivity and democracy unheard of for a long time to come.
