About
Designed by not only one but two premiere architects of their day, Rosario Candela and Mott Schmidt, this exquisite 1936-1937 limestone faced building is considered one of the top ten buildings in Manhattan. It was constructed during the depths of the Great Depression yet no detail has been spared both in the design element and the construction. Initially the residents of both huge townhouses and enormous but old fashioned apartment suites were drawn to the state of the art building of its day.
