2 Beekman Place, designed by renowned architect Rosario Candela, opened in 1932. Since conversion to a coop in 1970, the building has been lovingly restored to the Art Deco ambience for which Candela was famous. Situated at the southern end of the historic Beekman Place enclave, with easy access to Peter Detmold Park (and its dog-run), East River walks and a nearby public playground, 2 Beekman provides full service to its 86 units by a resident manager and an attentive staff.
