About

The Henrietta is a tenement built in the 1920’s. It has a brick exterior and the crown has it’s name, Henrietta, named after Henrietta Szold, who in 1912 founded Hadassah, the Woman’s Zionist Organization in America. Although she never lived in the building or the Lower East Side, her accomplishments inspired the Jewish community in the area.’
