About

211 West 10th Street is a renovated pre-war building in the heart of the Village. Between Bleecker and West 4th Streets, it is in the midst of all the excitement the Village has to offer. It is within a block of some of the most popular restaurants and shops in the City – Westville, across the street; Manatus, the famous 24-hour diner; and August Restaurant, around the corner, among innumerable other eateries.

And you can walk your dog along the strip going up Bleecker, past Charles, Perry, and 11th Streets with Ralph Lauren, Coach, Tommy Hilfiger, Juicy Couture, and Brunello Cucinelli, among others.

Yet amid all this activity, 211 offers its residents a tranquil home. You pass through double solid-oak doors into the entry hall that has been restored to show off the exposed brick walls above the marble wainscoting, as well as the old plaster moldings and fixtures on the ceiling. The stairs are wide and there is a landing between each floor. The apartments themselves vary from one- to two-bedrooms, which while not immense, offer plenty of room for a home office or child’s room. Some residents have exposed brick and beams in their homes, and the kitchens are all roomy. Washer/dryers and dishwashers are allowed, and the building is pet-friendly. The south-facing apartments are sunny and bright, and the ones facing north are quiet while still providing light through courtyard southern windows. All apartments have windows in every room, including kitchens and bathrooms. The higher-floor apartments have tremendous wide-angle views of the city, and great light from either direction. There is ample storage in the basement, with private bins approximately 8′×5′×3′ in measure included with each unit.

Finally, you are a few minutes from a lovely walk along the Hudson in one direction, Chelsea Piers in another, Washington Square to the East and Tribeca and Financial District heading south. And to venture further afield, the transportation from here is excellent – the crosstown bus at your door, and the subway a block away.
