About
25 East End Avenue was the first apartment building to be completed on East End Avenue. Designed by the well respected architectural firm of Cross and Cross in 1929, it became the harbringer of many limestone buildings to be erected on the Avenue. The limestone clad building has a particularly beautiful lobby which remains virtually unchanged from the original. It is distinguished by the polished black and white marble floor with a fireplace surmounted by a starburst clock and an elaborately carved entry with broken pediment.
