About

3 and 5 Weehawken Street

In 1928 architect Mortimer C Merritt (more known for designing the cast iron fronted O’Neill & Co Department store on 655 Sixth Av), was commissioned to build this 5 story red and white brick building.

An August 1929 advertisement for the building listed: “A few apartments, 1-2-3 rooms, kitchenette and bath; $50 to $75; lease; all modern improvements; roof garden with Hudson River panorama.”
