About

While working at Mayer, Whittlesey and Glass, William J. Conlklin designed both Butterfield House in the Greenwich Village and The Premier at 333 E. 69th, which was completed in 1963 and won awards for its outstanding appearance; notably its detailing, layouts and contextual sensitivity, including a 1974 First Honor Award from The American Institute of Architects for its exceptional planning and design. Built as a rental and converted to a coop in 1987, it’s often referred to as one of Manhattan’s important buildings.
