About

419-421 Broome Street is a five-story commercial building built in 1873 by Thomas & Sons. Some identifying features of Thomas’ designs are rusticated arches, wide expanses of glass and the use of cast-iron balustrades to embellish a building’s façade – the pinnacle of which is a central arched pediment. The building has 50′ of frontage on Broome St. and an extreme depth of 111′. 419-421 Broome Street still exudes its original grandeur as an architectural masterpiece today.
