Five Riverside Drive, a classic art deco building designed by the team of Boak and Paris on the corner of 73rd Street and Riverside Drive, set a renting record when it was built in 1937. The attractions of the 20-story building with 109 apartments included dropped living rooms, dining galleries and decorative fireplaces. A cooperative since 1965, shareholders love the proximity to Riverside Park, and the wide vistas of the Hudson even as far as the George Washington Bridge.
