525 Park Avenue is a 14-story prewar building built in 1914, and converted to a condominium in 1989.
Three penthouse apartments were added to the building at the time of the conversion. This was done by purchasing the air rights from three adjoining buildings. The addition is not in the same Italian-Renaissance-palazzo style as the rest of the building. The building’s avenue frontage has three handsome rows of balconies with the middle row shorter than the other two. There is also a very attractive cornice.
