About
Dunolly Gardens was built in 1939 and designed by famed architect Andrew J. Thomas. It’s modern design contrasts with his earlier, opulent The Chateau and The Towers. Dunolly Gardens was the last garden apartments project built in the Historic District. Mayor Fiorello La Guardia was present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 11 1939. The complex consists of 6 detached buildings occupying the whole square block with common gardens in the middle.
