About

Completed in 1961 as a residential rental apartment building known originally as Mercer House, 88 Bleecker is one of the hidden gems and best values in NoHo. Built on a site that replaced four nineteenth century buildings at a time when most buildings were being demolished for parking lots, the building flourished as the neighborhood evolved and converted to a coop in 1981. The building was designed by H. I.

I. Feldman, an architect who was responsible for numerous apartment-house projects built by developers from the 50’s to the 70’s, ranging from Greenwich Village and Murray Hill to Yorkville. It features 7 floors and 106 apartments with two elevators, a virtual doorman, and a wonderful staff that includes a live-in and knowledgeable super and a long standing helpful porter who keep the building in wonderful condition. Located in the thriving vortex between NoHo, SoHo, Nolita and Greenwich Village, 88 Bleecker sits on a quiet part of Bleecker Street between Mercer and Broadway. It is a pet friendly building with private bicycle and storage space, a clean bright laundry room, and a reasonably priced garage for in-building parking. The virtual doorman can allow access for packages to be signed for by the super and left in a secured room for shareholder pick-up. Close to a wide array of NYC culture including dinning, shopping, nightlife, live music, the Angelica Theater, galleries, etc. It is also near most subway lines including the B/D/F/M/N/R and 6 trains.
