About
924 West End Avenue—The Clebourne, is the grande dame of West End Avenue and sits on the site of the mansion of Isidor and Ida Straus who were passengers on the fateful maiden voyage of the Titanic. A memorial to them is one block north where Straus Park sits in the triangle between West End Avenue and Broadway just north of West 106th Street. Built in 1913 by Schwartz & Gross with distinctive Arts and Crafts detail on the exterior.
Its handsome porte-cochere creates a sense of privacy off of the avenue with its entrance on West 105th Street
