About

The Gorham Manufacturing building at 889 Broadway is undoubtedly one of the most unique coops in the Flatiron District, and an integral part of the neighborhood’s history.
Completed in 1883, the first two floors were slated for commercial use, while the upper floors were laid out as bachelor apartments. Following retailers A.T Stewart and Lord & Taylor’s relocation to the Flatiron District, the Gorham Manufacturing Company arrived in 1884 and quickly established itself as New York City’s premier choice for carriage trade silver
